Studio Policies
Bookings
All classes must be booked online before coming to the studio. We are unable to take walk-ins, so please book in advance to secure your space.
Check-In
Please check in at reception before your class. We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes before class starts, especially if it is your first visit.
Arriving Late
We have a strict no late entry policy. For the safety of everyone in the room, and to avoid disrupting the class once it has begun, late entry will not be possible.
Cancellation / No-Show
Classes must be cancelled at least 12 hours before the start time.
For memberships and intro offers, late cancellations and no-shows will be charged a £10 fee.
For drop-ins and class packs, late cancellations are charged as used. No-shows are charged as used, plus a £10 fee.
Grip Socks
Grip socks are required for all reformer classes. Please bring your own or purchase a pair at the studio before class.
Pregnancy / Postnatal
Please let us know before class if you are pregnant, postnatal or recently returning to movement. Not all classes will be suitable, so please check the class description before booking.
Injuries / Medical Conditions
Please let your teacher know before class if you are working with an injury, medical condition or anything else that may affect your practice.
Mobile Phones
Please keep phones on silent and away during class. This helps keep the studio calm and allows everyone to practise without distraction.
Filming / Photography
Please do not film or photograph during class without permission from the teacher and anyone who may appear in the image or video.
Personal Belongings
Please keep personal belongings in the changing room provided. The Restorative Place cannot take responsibility for lost or damaged items.
FAQs
I’m brand new - can I still come?
Absolutely. Most of our classes are open-level and designed to meet you where you are. You don’t need to be flexible, strong or experienced to begin.
What class should I start with?
You’re welcome to choose the practice, time or teacher that feels right for you. Each teacher brings their own style and approach, so we recommend reading our class descriptions and teacher bios to find the best fit.
Are your classes open-level?
Most of our classes are open-level, with guidance and options offered where appropriate. Some classes may feel more dynamic, while others are slower and more restorative.
What should I bring?
Just yourself and something comfortable to move in. For reformer classes, grip socks are required. You may also like to bring a water bottle, we have a filtered water tap.
Are mats and props provided?
Yes. Mats, blocks, straps, bolsters and other props are provided for all studio classes, so you don’t need to bring your own unless you prefer to.
What are the mats like?
We use Manduka ProLite mats in our mat studio. As they’re brand new, they may feel a little slippery to begin with, so you’re welcome to bring a small towel for extra grip during practice.
Do you have changing rooms or showers?
We have toilets and space to change, but no showers. We recommend arriving ready for class where possible.
Do you have lockers?
We do not have lockers. Please bring only what you need for class.
How do memberships and class packs work?
Class packs are a flexible option if you’d like to come occasionally, while memberships are best if you plan to practise regularly. All bookings are managed online.
Where is the studio?
The Restorative Place is located in the heart of Dulwich Village. Full address and arrival details can be found on our contact page and in your booking confirmation.
How can I contact you?
